you might be onto something with the voltage. The lights on the dash turn off then on sometimes? would low voltage cause something like that?

 

would replacing the alternator also be something to look at aswell as the connections?

I must admit I have lost track of who has what going on so I will ask this: Does the CRT work so you can go through diagnostics and read some of the cars operating systems? You need to establish some baseline numbers relative to the health of the electrical system. I am not suggesting any parts be replaced unless they can be tested or observed first.

Unfortunately it doesn’t work but since it has the diagnostic information i’m gonna have to figure that out.

 

Right now there’s just a line through the middle. it’s usually stuck on status, but other times i’m able to switch menus by pressing the buttons. When the crt screen is touched it makes noises as well.

 

I don’t know if that means the crt still works though, since i’ve never dealt with a crt screen before.
