  1. This is the arm on the door that is hard to replace if it breaks.

  2. I can't imagine the blend door making a noise. It should be driven smoothly by an electric motor. It is located behind the glove box. There is another door behind the dash that is operated by vacuum. I believe it's call a diverter door. If that door sticks it could make a noise when it pops open. If that door is the problem the arm that attaches it to the vacuum pot is prone to breaking. I would check the blend door first. If you discover the other door is making the noise you might want to disconnect the vacuum line going to the climate control unit until you can figure out what's on. Replacing a broken arm on that door is a really hard job. Once you remove the glovebox you will see this.

  3. Me and my wife had a discussion about this earlier this evening before I saw your post. She felt the same way as you. She said if nobody on the forum isn't complaining and I enjoy posting about my Mustang I should continue to do so. I've decide I'm going to keep posting about my Mustang. I've checked with the forum moderator and he says its OK. 🙂

  4. I answered your question that you posted on the AACA forum. Also, go to the top of this forum and click on the dropdown tab "More Info". Then click on "Parts Vendors". You can also try Marck at eastcoastreattaparts.com.

  6. I have no trouble with Ronnie's new car and I believe that anything that gets more participation is a good thing. If more people object why nor start a "General Discussion" column that doesn't involve Reattas?

  7. Ronnie, your subject title says, "OFF TOPIC". It couldn't be any more specific/clearer than that. I personally have enjoyed reading about your car adventures beyond Reattas. Most of us have additional other cars we are interested in. We just need to remember to continue to label these writings as "OFF TOPIC". I've written about my Eldorado once and again. The dude's lucky that you keep this forum alive.

  8. As the administrator of ROJ, I think that you have earned the right to do go off topic and express yourself. I have not seen any ROJ replies to your thread which state otherwise. I personally find your thread and other's comments to be of interest .

  9. UPDATE: after dealing with two defective leaky new windshield washer pumps, I finally have a winner! 3rd time is a charm. The $28 AC Delco was a dud...leaked from the weep holes just like the first no-name $8 pump. Glad I bought from Amazon, easy refundable returns on the leaky duds. This one works, no leaks and pumps strong for $9.99 from Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B078XY4V3Y?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1

  10. Thanks to a google search, your advice from October 2020 helped me in December 2023. My washer fluid container sprung a leak, and I was struggling to remove it for repairs. Removing the air filter housing revealed the culprit hiding under the Relay Center: a broken plastic nipple on the washer pump. After reading your tip on how to move the Relay Center out of the way, I had the fluid container out in a minute, new $10 pump ordered from Amazon. Owning a Reatta would be a lot more challenging without experts like you sharing their experience. Thanks, greatly appreciated!

  11. Me posting about the Mustang isn't going to be a problem for a while. I was working on the brakes yesterday, (installing new pads, calipers, rotors and hoses) and reinjured my knee that has given me trouble for years. It doesn't like me getting up and down on my knees repeatedly. It usually takes about two weeks to get over it and then I will be back to working on the Mustang again.

  12. Basically that is why I started the Reatta Lounge thread. It's for off topic posts that all get thrown in one basket randomly. The reason I didn't post my Mustang stuff in the Reatta Lounge is because there is no continuity to posts with other people posting random off topic stuff between my posts. I think a General Discussion topic would be the same way. My posts in my Mustang topic can be read from beginning to end and it will all make sense what I'm talking about. I think if I made all the Mustang posts in a General Discussion forum with other off topic posts mixed in it would be very confusing. Probably the best thing is for me to stop posting Mustang stuff in a Reatta forum. I wouldn't allow anyone else to do that so it's only fair that I stop if some forum members are opposed to me doing it.
