  2. They also have a turbo version … the Red Line. Nice little cars.

  3. Jon and I have both done swaps and modifications, several times, but I have never encountered that many sensor issues. Since there were multiple swaps involved, are you using the original sensors or the ones that came on the replacement parts? Unknown history on them? I know the 91 codes are more extensive and a little bit different, and 43 appears to be for the knock sensor system, which will cause ignition timing and power production problems. Many of these things indicate voltage out of range, so grounds as mentioned above is a good place to start. I don't know what would happen if a non electronic transaxle is installed as you seem to have indicated. There is an electrical connection even on the non electronic trans but is primarily indicators and the TCC only. How that would feed back to the PCM on a 91 is any ones guess if it even connected up.

  4. My neighbor has one of these, a Saturn Sky. His is red. It looks really good when it goes by my house. If I miss out on the SLK I'm going to start looking around for one of them in red, white or black. They are a much simpler car than a Mercedes. They have a 4 cylinder engine and a manually operated top. I like that.
