  1. Alot of blood sweat and tears went into making this car beautiful and road worthy again. Thanx for everyones help! SOLD to a car collector in Australia for $7500. Next project is full restoration of a 450SL with 40k original miles.

  4. I too bought the right side but I think the left will be a better fit. I will be ordering the left side next time. My buddy Bob, who is a machinist made them for me. He had some plastic material that was just too thin so used a fender washer for extra thickness. He kept using a micrometer to get the exact thickness. Your picture makes me think that the lead is a bit stretched, which because being the machinist he is made the spacer a bit different then yours. Mine fits perfectly and works great. I had been dealing with the drivers front going intermittent [I could tell because I could feel the pulsation from the right front]. When I removed it the lead was frayed and "looked" worn out. Going to order 2 more for the 'vert!
