  1. I wasn't really looking to add yet another vehicle to my arsenal, however I came across this beauty while browsing my local CL and I couldn't help myself. It's a 2012 Regal GS, Smokey Grey over Black leather, 6-speed manual. 112k miles, and she's an absolute garage queen. The previous owner stored it in a heated garage under a cover in the winder, and just had the OEM wheels blasted and powder coated. The interior smells like brand new, not a single mark anywhere. I drove her 150 miles home today without missing a beat.

  2. There is a schrader valve on the top of the engine. Depress that so the gas pressure is released. Cuts down on the spray when the filter is removed. be sure to have a rag on top of the schrader valve as well.

  3. At the 2023 Back to the Bricks car show the Reatta was the featured car. Go to either the AACA forum or the Reatta Owners Facebook page to see the Reatta pictures. Apparently, there were over 70 Reattas in attendance. Quite an impressive showing.

  4. Thanks Ship. I have replaced them on my 41 Cadillac, my 78 Rolls, and my 2 1962 Buick Skylarks. Once the car is on stands I use a jack I kept from one of my early post war Bentley. It is a screw jack that I can use my 1.2' drive Milwaukee to raise and lower it I don't have to be concerned about the hydraulic jack bleeding down this way. Trouble is trying to find a shop that doesn't require a trip to Fort Knox, AND is competent.

  5. Personally, I'd have a local mechanic install the mounts. I believe you'd have to slightly lift and support the engine/trans from under neath while replacing the mounts....heavy engine, heavy trans.

  7. If you do it yourself, have a fire extinguisher handy and wear a long sleeve shirt with the cuffs buttoned, and rubber gloves. Gasoline can roll down your arms into your arm pits and that burns for days.

  8. So I was driving down Midway Road in Menasha [for the benefit of 2seater] when a guy pulled up next to me and gave me a "thumbs up" on my Reatta. I wave d back and shortly pulled into a vacant store's parking lot to do some paperwork. As I was sitting there the guy circled back and said that he wasn't stalking me but wanted to let me know that his grandfather had a Reatta years back and he always liked them. I asked him if it was a 1990 or newer one and he wasn't sure so I showed him some of the features of the touch screen. He was really impressed, so hope I made another friend today...

  9. Since you are going to be dealing with highly flammable gasoline when changing the filter, I think it would be wise for you to get an experienced mechanic to replace it for you.
