  1. Haven’t been on here for awhile but i got my reatta to run and drive. I changed the spark plugs and wires with some buddy’s, and the engine sounds a lot better. The spark plugs in the back were fun to reach. Still runs rough and shakes at idle. I’m thinking it’s the fuel system needs a clean because it sat for 15 years. I also think i might upgrade the ignition control module to the 1991 L27 ICM and coils.

  2. The more you learn about it the better your life with your Reatta will be. It's your best friend when you are troubleshooting problems.

  3. Hope I'm not too late with the attachment. I had to replace the door handle in my '89, and got the replacement from Jim Finn. He gave me instructions and I rewrote on the attachment. There may be a thread about my efforts somewhere on the Forum.

  4. Gooder news! After replacing the alternator and putting everything back together, I started the car and now have a good charging system and.......BRAKES! Stops very nice without having to be the Hulk. It also turned the yellow ABS brake light out, but I still have the red one. I thought it was the parking brake but no, it was not set. Have a "Service A/C" light, too. So have more goodies to explore. I'll take it on more than just a round the block drive shortly and report more. EDIT- Changing the alternator ranks right up there with "the easiest thing I've ever done working on a car". Thanks for the help. -derdachshund
