  1. With all the work done by others regarding rear struts, I in the last couple of weeks have purchased front struts, front and rear strut mounts. I have two Reattas and have 6 each front and rear struts and 6 each front and rear strut mounts. I do not want to be caught short or scramble again for suspension parts. I am also considering buying a rack and pinion for back stock as well. I'll always be able to sell them should my Reatta days ever end...

  2. I am sooo glad that I had the struts and shocks and all mounts changed out 21/2 years ago! I also have a spare set of struts/shocks/mounts in my cellar inventory.... along with engine, tranny, and chassis mounts.

  3. There are thousands of 3.8 engines that used that part. Either a dealer would have one or you could go to a You Pick salvage yard.

  4. I received a reply from Ryan. Apparently, there are in fact over 13.5k single byte differences between the two Proms. The difference tool does not tell you what the differences mean, only that they are there as well as the location address. We, the user, only have access to a small amount of information that we can change. He used the analogy of your computer operating system vs the control panel where things can be added, subtracted or modified. So, in the end, many things may be tweaked outside of our sight, perhaps including the mileage calculation. Rather than burning a new Prom immediately, we will install a replacement of the present Prom first.

  5. Before you do a teardown let me see if I can find a pinout so you can do some testing. I'm pretty sure there is a breakout box for that purpose. If you are talking about disconnecting brake lines you may be risking problems that can be avoided by doing some testing.
