  1. Repost of some photos to show entire process of “Internal Thread Method” Housing Modification: Top of strut cut off Housing internally threaded Strut cartridge installed Gland nut installed Piston Extension Components: *Coupling Union *Upper Strut Mount Assembly *Bolt / Washer (may cut off bolt head and use nut for better compression control)(installation dependent). Assembled: The Union raises the perch to approximately the same position as the OEM unit. Using the bolt (or bolt /nut) allows the OEM upper mount assembly to be used without modification.

  3. Bosch 901's are correct but they certainly look unusual. I think the pins won't be a problem as the connector extends far into the plug. That oddball tube or whatever it is must have been substituted to the metal cap. I can't see well enough from the photo but they should have four or five spray holes in a small circle on the outlet. One thing for certain, that long extended tip will hang out in the air stream of the intake port. At the least, it should be trimmed off to original length. If you return them, I would look for 19# Bosch Type 3 injectors. A common source is takeouts from Mustang 5.0's. Just make sure they have the same style connection, which is called an EV1 style, and it must have the top grooves for the metal retainer clip.

  4. Once again thanks to everyone for their help!!! This started with my finding a front brake 2000 Grand Am upgrade on line. I was unsuccessful with this. My opinion, for whatever it's worth, don't bother. Bleeding did not work at all. even though it seems to. I've changed everything back to OEM. Bled brakes exactly the same everything works. Would seem the problem is the bleeder valve position. OEM is positioned straight up, the Grand Am valve, points inward. perhaps an air pocket remains above it that will not bleed. Maybe a pressure bleeder will work, but my 200,000 mile go anywhere anytime driver, will be staying stock up front. P.S. The Park Ave 1998 rear upgrade works fine.

  5. Finished the axle replacement today. I spent at least an hour under the car cleaning off grease slung out of the cracked boot on the axle. It's terrible grease that just want to smear instead of wiping off easily. Luckily what slings out isn't in a place that can be seen from under the hood or inside the fenderwell.
