  1. I suspect there may be two parallel tracks for this solution. One for machining the existing strut requiring some amount of stock to get them done ahead of time or the adapter for the do it as an operation to the original or sale for the DIY. Overall it is very impressive

  2. As far as I remember, there were shims available for the end of the composite leaf spring for leveling or alignment?? There have been attempts to de-arch the spring to lower the rear but I think that was done with the mounts themselves.

  5. Received the machined strut body today ! 👍 Worked out really well. Strut cartridge fits tight, secure, and aligned within the housing. Machined Strut Housing: KYB Cartridge Installed: Monroe Cartridge Installed Additional Info: * This was a proof of concept. * Thread size is 51 mm; 1.5 mm pitch * There is complete thread engagement for the KYB gland nut. The Monroe gland nut has more threads and does not have engagement of all threads. (approximately 2X the amount of threads than the KYB) * Have not yet torqued the gland nut to spec. (82 ft-lbs per Monroe) * Overall length of modified strut assembly is ~2.5” shorter than the OEM strut fully extended. * Will require extension of the upper threaded portion of the strut or the sleeve nut @ alchemist has out for quotation (preferred). * Should not require any other shimming or adapter to keep cartridge and housing in alignment with each other. * Previously posted information states KYB insert cartridge is not to have oil surrounding it. Monroe instructions state that ~50 cc of oil should be added to come 1/2 way up cartridge to aid in heat dissipation. Add or not… depending upon cartridges used? Overall very pleased with the outcome and collaboration on this project.

  6. I had gone out to the you pick yard and picked up a line kit and cooler from a Riv that had just come in. I went over to my buddy Kendalls house and we took the top off the 'Verts radiator shroud and I had one already there. Because the lines and cooler were like new [they still had the ID # stickers on them] I installed them on the Red.

  7. For what it's worth, I contacted Moog Suspension and filled out their "Suggest a part" form. https://www.suspension.com/suggestapart.asp?vehicle=8872 Completed the form for Reatta rear struts, and got back this helpful reply. "if you have friends or family that also need this part made or another one that is not listed, please have them fill out the same form. With enough input from our customers the factory can make a better decision on what products to create next."
