  1. Back in November I posted that the software used for the How-To guide section of ROJ will soon become obsolete. I will have to migrate to the newer version of the software to keep ROJ up to date or let it die a slow death. Just want to let you guys know that I'm working on the ROJ How-To guides to make them compatible with the newer version of the software. Several people have said they want me to keep ROJ going and I'm going to try my best to do that. Since the new software version is so different, and designed primarily for cellphones and tablets, almost all of the How-To guides need to be reworked, some more than others, to make them compatible with mobile devices and still be able to work properly on desktop computers (which is what I use 95% of the time). There are 259 How-To guides here on ROJ, a lot more than I realized, so it is going to be a big job. I'm spending several hours a week in my spare time going through each page one by one and making changes to make sure they are going to work with the new software and look right on a mobile device. It's going to take time but eventually I'll get it done.

  2. How cool is the red, white, and blue lineup of Reattas. The parade must have a real photo shoot...............Reatta is America's favorite 2 seater !!!

  3. This of course opinion only, but I would stick with the reduction starter. It is lighter, compact and should have less current draw. It is what is on my engine for the last 33 years, 30 0f those being mine. Mine also has two shims and the pattern looks good, so they stay. If you have a local rebuilder you could have it checked out but usually they work or they don't. Unless it is making unusual noises, just look it over for signs of rust or wear on the drive, and run it.

  4. For the 1st time in my lifetime I tried to walk in a wind when it was blowing well over 50 mph...................I could hardly move forward against the wind as it kept pushing me back. The predicated wind gusts were supposed to be up to 100mph so whatever I was stepping into was winning the skirmish. Being on the Pacific coast does expose one to storms but this one was one not to forget. The only reason that I stepped outside was to check on the house which was making all sorts of noises...........the Reattas were quietly sleeping inside the garage so all was well. Another storm predicted for Saturday with strong winds so I am hoping that something happens to change its course or magnitude otherwise I may have to consider moving to the coast of Florida ???

  6. Replaced the HVAC "programmer", as Buick calls it, with a used part from ECRP, including a 2 year warranty. Everything is working fine now! I think, fingers crossed, all the gremlins are now worked out of this Reatta. Every lamp, indicator, button, piece of trim, etc. is in place and doing its job. Thanks for the pointers and encouragement!

  9. You have a good website. Thanks for letting me copy some of the articles. That's a project I've dropped the ball on. Been spending too much time at the cardiologist's office and at the hospital for outpatient testing and procedures. They seem to think A-fib and Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy isn't good for your health. A cardioversion has the A-fib fixed - for now. The HCM is forever. This website software thing has took away the time I intend to use on a ROJ CD.
