Welcome to the forum Mary. The problem with the fan continuing to run, even when the key is off, is usually caused by a bad Blower Control Module. The photo below shows where it is located. The green arrows point to the screws that must be removed to replace it. If you have questions feel free to ask.

But when you replace the control unit, I have left the back screw out because of how hard the screw is to remove/install.1 point
