I feel your pain. I'm on my second one and I hardly ever use the radio. Barney Eaton repairs them using a steel cable that is much better than the plastic cable that was used ordinally. I don't remember the cost but I think it is reasonable. He can be contacted at: barneyeaton1@gmail.com1 point
