  1. No, but we noticed that the corn in that huge field had grown about three feet since were were stranded there. I'm thinking "Children of the Corn" have have something to do with that place. It was certainly an adult nightmare for us.

  2. I was 24 miles from home by my GPS. I called a wrecker and had them on stand by while I waited for Bob to show up with a spark tester. He shows up, we connect it to the #6 coil and I turn the key and it starts! So I never turned the car off, disconnected the tester and plugged the spark plug wire back onto the coil terminal, thanked him for coming and drove home. The car is now in the garage and I am taking my wife's car to O'reilly's to pick one up [no back stock]. Who would have guessed that the car would "heal itself" just long enough for me to get home? Should be back on the road tomorrow...

    MPG

The MPG per car can vary wildly. I have had two 1990s that never got better than 18 mpg. My convertible only gets like 18 mpg. I have a 1988 that gets about 24 mpg on the highway. I had a 1988 that I sold that got 27 mpg. Some people will argue it depends on the day of the week the car was made based on who put the engine together.

  8. We aren't that hot, but mid 90's with dew points in the high 70's melts us further north. My old garage is detached and is semi insulated so it is not too terrible for much of the day, as long as the big door isn't open. No support under the transaxle. The rear passengers corner of the engine is actually supported by a bracket on the trans so the only actually motor mount that gets disconnected is at the passengers front corner under the A/C compressor. I hope to leave the oil filter adapter from the S/C engine in place, the one that curls under the front of the oil pan, but I won't know for certain until I get the oil cooler adapter back in place. I had to remove the oil pressure sender along with the aforementioned items to better access the rear mounts and the hidden bellhousing bolt. I didn't think to take a photo before I removed it but I will when I reinstall. The reason I mention it is the different orientation from the standard LN3 location. It points straight back rather than vertical but I didn't realize how low it was until engine installation. It is only about 1" above the inner drive axle joint. That shouldn't be an issue as they don't move relative to each other, but it was a bit of a surprise.

  9. I swapped them back to normal lights for now. I do have a relay harness and all it did was keep my lights on all the time. So I'll have to loom in to it more. But they do close now! I'm very happy thanks for your help as always guys!
