We think alike when it comes to taking photos. This photo was taken on a big bridge on the Foothills Parkway near Townsend, TN. That is the Smoky Mountains in the background.
Thats my language.
I love the T Type series of vehicles… even the ones that were just an appearance package.
There are one of those all black 87’s lurking around here too.
Thanks.
The one in the photo is a 1984 T-Type with the 1.8 L turbo (150 HP; borrowed from Pontiac). It is pretty close to the one I bought new in ‘84 when I was in the service.
The hideaway headlights came out a few years later, around 86 or 87 I think.
Understood & Thanks.
I did download the diagnostic book.
I did verify that I could command the low and high speed fans on and off using the override ecm screen with the engine off as Ronnie indicated.
the relays seem to cycle ok with the override.
somewhere along the line the fans are not commanded off when temperatures drop.
…just able to get back to this.
the car is a 1989. It has two fans, one pusher and one puller.
now that I am able to access the car, I will try the recommendations provided.
