  1. I cleaned the back glass on my car for the first time last year and you really do have to contort yourself to get it done. The window was so filthy that I’m guessing the previous owner had not done it in years. I used magic eraser sheets, micro fiber cloths and the Invisible Glass for a good result.

  2. It's rainy here today so I took some time this morning to thoroughly clean the inside of the windows. It was hard to believe how dirty the back window was. I drive most of the time with the windows down, so I guess it gets bombarded by most of the dust and dirt that comes in through the side windows. Getting to that rear glass was tough on an old man. I will be sore for a few days but I will get over it. 🙂 I have been using a glass cleaning product caused "Invisible Glass" in an aerosol can for a while now. I like it better than anything I've used so far, and I've tried a lot of them.

  3. My 2000 Eldorado is having HVAC issues. When I call for A/C, the driver's side does so but the passenger's side generates heat. When I call for heat, the driver's side does so but the passenger's side generates cold. Took it to a local dealer yesterday (4/4/22) and after a few diagnostics it turns out the passenger actuator is toast. Part has been ordered and will be installed tomorrow. I was told by the service advisor that I will receive a Senior discount...yahoo! The Eldo is 22 years old with only 80K miles on it. In the 15 years I've owned it, I've never had to do much repair-wise (a starter motor, 2015) other than regular maintenance.

  4. Took the Reatta out of its storage igloo Monday (April 4, 2022) for its yearly MA auto safety inspection (no emissions test needed; car is too old). No pictures as I think you folks looking at a Reatta in an igloo would be quite boring. I ended up returning it to its igloo and recovering it today due to rain expected Wednesday thru Friday....I know the car gets spoiled by me.

  5. My advice is to get the car in drivable condition so you can drive the car to the location of the windshield you want installed. Then pay a professional installer to remove the windshield from the donor car and install it in your car. Most of the professional installers will come to your location. They will do the job right the first time and save you a lot of grief. It will cost you some money, but in my opinion this would be money well spent. There are many repairs you can do to your car yourself that will save you some money. This isn't one of them.

  7. Make sure the rubber surround is intact, it is one piece with the glass.
