Just got back from Kendall's as I wanted him to check my work and verify that I had the balancer bolt tight enough and to check the wires in the big harness at the back of the engine at the firewall. He said that the wires were not hard [which he says is a sign of melted wires] and the balancer bolt was not quite tight enough [we put a longer breaker bar on it]. He then gave me a thumbs up and off I went home.
I did have a bit of excitement on my way over to his house. There was a State Patrol officer taking radar on the on ramp I used. He never noticed that I had taken the plates off as I thought I was getting rid of the car. So as soon as I got home I put them back on.
This car now fires up right away, idles great and is very responsive on the highway. I have to say I got my car back and am no longer interested in letting it go.
Sorry 2seater!
Also one other thing. I used a business card as my spacer gauge. I couldn't find my feeler gauge...
