  1. You know, I get really tired of automotive “journalists” with their snarky reviews of the Reatta. The car does have some shortcomings, but are easily outweighed by the advantages. The YouTube reviews, with an audio track, have much voice inflection, irritating irrelevant comment, and generally poor content. Clearly a situation where they need to boost their egos by putting someone/something else down. Pathetic.

  2. Haha, this gem in the comments section. Prob the kind of guy that would pay $10k for an old volvo off BringaTrailer.com.

  3. Believe me, many things like that cause me to do my best Homer Simpson "DOH!" No worries and mystery solved👍

  4. I am of similar mind. The CPS is the one common item in the ignition sequence that is always in play. I learned when my car failed a CPS that the failure mode was not what we or the FSM said should happen. It didn’t stay failed as it normally would, much like the leaking fuel pressure regulator that still worked on this car. It definitely seeped fuel, but must have sealed well enough under some conditions to give a false indication.

  5. If it has the Magnavox ignition, the original single coil block style, try closing up the spark plug gap to something in the .042"-.048" range. If it is a misfire under load, that may help. Incidentally, I just run Autolite copper core plugs, my preferred type from way back, but then again, I actually change whole engines somewhat regularly🙄

  6. East TN is a nice place to live if you like to get out and drive and enjoy the scenery like I do. We have the mountains with wide valleys in between like this one which is called the Sequatchie Valley. That gives me a choice of driving where it is relatively flat like this place with beautiful views of the mountains or going up in the hills and mountains where the back roads are very curvy and a lot of fun to drive on. The first picture I posted shows the mountains on one side of the valley and the last photos shows the mountains on the other side of the valley. From the little church sitting on a knoll in the middle of large pasture fields you get a panoramic view of it all. It's spectacular in the Fall when the leaves have peaked in color.

  7. I endorse the squeegee as well. My dad had one exactly like the pucture. Used it for years. I need to get my own lol.

  8. No photos have been posted for a while so here goes. About every year my wife and I drive on a long gravel road that winds it's way for a mile or two through pasture fields and it dead ends at a little church where some of her relatives are buried. Hardly ever see a car on that road so we can just creep along and enjoy the beautiful scenery. We go so slow you could almost walk along beside the car. We took these photos at the end of last summer. We usually park behind the church near the graveyard and just stand there and take in the view. One of the most peaceful places I know of.

  9. Re: California Squeegee....Its pretty flexible. It "flaps" back and forth. You use it kinda like you would use a paint brush. One does not have to push down hard to remove excess water. I start at the roof, then down the glass front to back and each side, then hood, trunk, and finally body sides.

  10. I use this California squeegee to get the excess water off after washing and then a shamie.

  11. The car wash denied my claim stating it had to be a defect in the car as 100's of cars go through every day. I called my insurance company and it is a comprehensive claim with a $100.oo deductible. Problem now is the shops are busy.
