  1. "C" 3800s were used in millions of cars. I bought a long block from LKQ once, great engine but got exactly that, they broke every sensor. If have an engine out, first thing to do is to replace all freeze plugs with brass, and open out the exhaust collector.

  2. I unfortunately do not have a picture, but the original bearings are recessed a good ways into the housing maybe a full inch before the bearing even starts. Where as these sit very close to the edge (they actually stick out about 1/8th of an inch). I will see if I can get some pictures. I am fairly certain based on my measurements that they are indeed riding exterior of the original wear. Part of why I decided to try them is a discussion with a friend where he suggested that the mettalurgy of the aftermarket axles is not as good as the original GM axles. I have no idea if that is true, but I wouldn't doubt it.

  3. By doing that and it making the engine run right you must be compensating for something else that is out of whack. Most likely unmetered raw air or O2 sensor problem.

  4. Leaf batteries are very popular for golf cart conversions. You Tube shows a few of them being done.

  5. I will say this about you... Reading about your Reatta issues is the cheapest form of entertainment I know of!

  6. I have a buddy that owns a 2013 Leaf. Range is about 85 miles on a charge. He's retired and just uses it around town. At the end of the day he hooks it up to a 110V car/house plug, and his solar panels on his roof get to work. Newer Leafs get much more range than his, but he's happy with the 85 mile range.

  7. How about an electric conversion of a Reatta? I know there are companies out there, and have been for a few years, that install Tesla or Chevy Bolt systems in vintage vehicles. Both GM and Ford are starting to offer crate electric motor systems. The Ford crate offering is +100 hp and +100lb/ft over what we have as stock. I know it would sort of kill the Reatta'ness regarding the instrumentation and such but probably preserve the other things we enjoy. I actually talked with a local tuner shop this morning just to get them to think about it. Not in their wheelhouse at this point, but never say never😎 Being seen in a Prius would be a constant fear for sure. 😲

  8. Strange thing is was on a telecon when the first plane hit and some one said to turn (think it was CNN, might have been Fox) TV on & saw second plane hit. Was in the same house, same room, same chair, and same workstation (upgraded a bit) & had Reatta in garage.

  9. I was living in DC when the plane hit the pentagon. My dad was in the air force and we lived on Bolling AF Base which is right accross the river from the Regan National Air Port. You can see the pentagon accross the river from the base. I heard the plane crash into the pentagon as I was watching the coverage of the attack of the Twin Towers on TV and not long after you could see the smoke on the horizon. It was very frightening. Very quickly there were fighter jets that scambled out of Andrews Air Force base in MD flying overhead. I suspect that had the passengers of United Airlines flight 93 not overtaken the hijackers, those fighters would have been forced to shoot them down. I remember in the days after the attack things on the base changed dramatically. Macine gun towers along with other barriers and such were set up at the gates. MPs with M16s were patrolling the path that ran along the potomac river where we would go roller blading or walk the dogs. Everything on the base went to high security. It was crazy. I also remember our nation uniting in a way that I hadn't seen before or since.
