I have a new charge on my account for $20 for a new debit card. It appears I will be getting a card with the photo of my Reatta on it.3 points

My father was assistant chief engineer on the Reatta program. He has since passed away and left me with many photos of early design work spanning 1984 - 1986. Some photos are when they were in the United Kingdom working with Hawtal Whiting on design aspects. Not sure if anyone would have interest in these photos as a historical aspect to go with their Reatta. Unfortunately they are all Kodak prints and not in digital format. I took photos with my cell phone and uploaded a sample of the over 100 photos that I have in total.1 point

My car did something similar a few years ago. It would start just fine. No problems backing out of the driveway to the street but when I got to the stop sign at the intersection about 50 yards away it would start running rough when I started to pull out. Then it would smooth out as I accelerated up to speed. It started out by doing it every now and then and progressively got worse. Swapping in another used MAF sensor cured the problem. I had a spare used one thanks to Daves89 so that made it easy to find the problem. Don't go out and buy a new MAF sensor based on my past experience. They are expensive. If you have a used on try it or you can try unplugging the MAF sensor and see if that makes a difference. If the symptoms change when you unplug it the MAF sensor might be your problem.1 point

I tried to order the new card this evening. I completed all the required information and when I clicked "Submit" it took me to a page that said "Sorry, that page could not be found". I'm not sure if I completed the process of ordering the new card or not. They said it took two weeks for the card to be processed. I'll wait two weeks and see if the card arrives. If not I will try again.1 point

Went to a car show today. First in a long while due to last years cancellations. I didn't "show" my Reatta, but cruised to the site and parked nearby - the only Reatta there. A Buick aficionado (who had a Gran Sport, a GNX clone, and another Buick, I forget what) was especially interested. After all these years, it still garners attention.1 point

When a question is asked about how to repair a Reatta you usually get a reply on the forum or on the other forum within minutes or a few hours at most. I have grown use to that. I purchased a nice 2001 GMC Sierra to have something to tinker with a maybe make a few bucks on if I decide not to keep it. It needs a few minor repairs done, mostly electrical, to get it in tip top shape. I don't have a repair manual for it yet so I thought I would find a GMC Sierra (same as Chevy Silverado) forum to get some help. I have joined two GMC/Chevy truck forums and asked a few questions. That was two days ago and so far I haven't gotten a reply to any of the questions that I asked. I guess I was expecting too much...1 point

For the headlights, before you go spending lots of money on rebuilt motors, there are two common problems that you can fix yourself. The first is the bellcrank. That is the arm that the motor turns that opens the headlights (see first photo). The bellcrank is made out of magnesium, which is quite soft and so the output shaft of the motor, which is hardened steel wollers out the keyway on the bellcrank over time. Mine had the same problem when I bought it. The 2nd thing it could be are the 3 circular rollers inside the motor gearbox (photo 2). The original ones deteriorate and crumble. Mine were ok but I replaced them anyway. There is a guy over on the aaca forum named Barney Eaton that sells a kit to fix both problems for $45 per side. Comes with detailed installation instructions as well. His contact info and parts catalog are pics 3 and 4. Hope this helps.1 point
