  2. Thanks Ronnie, I've been thinking on this for some time while being distracted my minor things on the car but I believe it's time to bite the bullet and take it to a pro. I'll be reporting on his findings.

  3. If the engine cannot take any sort of load above idle or in gear, probably best to leave it off the road until more confidence. It has been proven they can idle on as few as two cylinders, which are evenly spaced on a single coil, but won't take any sort of load. Other suggestions maybe aren't understood or acted upon? Maybe time for a mechanic as you said.

  4. I believe that is way overdue. You don't seem to be making much progress. Sometimes you have to know your limits. I've been a mechanic and machinist all my life and there are things I can't fix on my car. The automatic transmission is a good example. I know I can't fix it so I don't feel bad when I have to turn it over to someone else. I just bite the bullet and get it over with.

  5. I just bought on Ebay a refurbished Buick stereo #16085414 with am/fm/am stereo with 5 slide graphic equalizer and cassette, upgraded with both an integrated Bluetooth and an MP3 lead. Unit has new capacitors, bulbs, and has been cleaned and the signal checked and adjusted for accuracy. It has been nicknamed "Sidewinder" [don't know why] over at the other Reatta website. I had the same unit in my Roadmaster and swapped it into my Reatta a number of years ago. I had burned up the unit I had during my Headlight relay issue, but have just gotten another so life is good. Paid $198.00 with sales tax and shipping. Not a bad price for a refurbished unit with upgrades that in my opinion has a simpler button layout then the Reatta units.
