I'm glad you find ROJ useful. I hope we can help you get your Reatta running the way it should.

The red car has been retired from the road for the time being. It was driven to the cottage storage to await warmer weather and we can evaluate the power steering leak and the oddball brake behavior. My son drove the car to the cottage and he reports exactly the same as the grandson mentioned: the car brakes normally down to about 10mph and then it feels like the antilock engages and braking is reduced. The grandson purchased another car, a late model Mustang six speed. Oh to be young again and not stick to the practical or logical?

Well, I haven't had it out on the road yet but, because of the condition of the old plugs, I'm betting on not enough spark, time will tell. There's also the issue of it not being driven for two years, the gas could be bad. I threw in a bottle of dry gas and thinking I will put in some Sea Foam detergent too just as an added measure, the tank is about half full.

Speaking as a newly minted Reatta owner myself, I want to add my two cents. I've been interested in cars all my life (now 67) and not since I was a young, single guy have I had a car that was mine alone again I find myself in possession of a truly fascinating car, but with it's uniqueness comes many unusual aspects. To have an online source like this which gives almost immediate response from guys with years of experience with these cars is priceless! Once I can stop buying parts and get my car fixed up, I intend to make a contribution to the site. Thanks, guys!

When I first got my Reatta and found the AACA forum I was very grateful for all the help I got. I started ROJ as a way make it easy to find Reatta repair information. It was my way of showing appreciation for the help I received when I really needed it. I'm glad you guys are still around. If it weren't for you guys I would probably have sold my Reatta by now and moved on to something else.
