  1. Hello all! Been quite a while since I’ve been here. But I’m back and dreaming of owning my last Reatta! I’m a 72 year old gal that has owned 4 in the past and it’s a car that is hard let go of!! So I’ve decided I want another convertible, ‘91 Maui blue, merlot, black with saddle interior! So if anyone may have a 91 in my pick of colors in good condition, please give me a shout! I will be a good caretaker and give her an appropriate name!! thanks to all for giving me some consideration!??

  2. Once again, thank you Ronnie. I suspect you're right about the leaking brakes and hope that's the case. Your testimony on the subject is very encouraging and you can be sure I'll be in and under the thing before making any offers. I do like the color much better and the fact there's no damage is another plus, I just wish it had been offered with a 5 speed manual trans. as I'm someone who likes to shift for himself but I understand the intent of the designers. The owner seems very irritable so I think letting him cool down as well as the weather warming up is advisable.

  3. I see in the other thread regarding this car, it is missing an option you would like and not a desired color? If it is near you, by all means look at it first. The only photo we have to judge has significant issues visible. The hood is dinged and the fog light is pointed the wrong direction, in addition to the items previously mentioned. If the radiator is cracked, it could just be typical plastic end tanks from age or if it is accident damage, the a/c condenser sits in front of the radiator as well as the pusher fan which is on that side. Maybe it is a hidden gem, but I see it as a parts car now, and should be purchased accordingly. If it turns out all the parts, in the correct color, can be easily sourced, great. If not, painting the front clip will have a substantial cost alone. If the asking price mentioned in the other thread is indeed correct, it is three times what it is worth IMHO.

  4. I'm with Tallicat. If you got it for 1k and it didn't pan out you could probably get your money back on the windshield alone. With the number of parts cars that seem to pop up you might be able to source the parts without too much trouble, especially if you don't mind getting a different color and then re-painting.

  5. Opened the post to view the photos of some mighty fine looking Reattas. Ronnie's red one is a standout (so is his landscape choices). However, noticed the post about the key issue. My '89 had an issue (maybe not the same as bghere), but the key was sometimes hard to turn in the ignition. And, if it didn't turn, the trans would not move out of Park. My dealer replaced the ignition lock cylinder with new keys included. Cost (in July 2016) was $139 - $51 for the cylinder and balance for labor.
