  1. It's an easy job. If you have a service manual instructions should be in section 7A.

  2. I guess this is loosely related to the L67 exploration and honestly I found a bit of a surprise, at least to me. I have posted engine power curves and such in the past and I thought perhaps a comparison of the LN3 to the later model versions, particularly the S/C engine I am dissecting. Along the way, regarding the 1995 N/A engine in a Riviera, I discovered why the hp curves looked suspect to me. I had to look for other sources to find out the N/A engine is the first of the Series II engines and the Supercharged, is the previous Series I. More trivia I guess. The yellow lines are our beloved LN3, and even against the Series II and the S/C Series I, it has more grunt off the line. It is quickly overshadowed as the rpms climb with the S/C engine building a big torque lead at fairly low rpm, and the Series II power advantage is most evident at higher rpms.

  4. My guess would be that your TV (Throttle Valve) cable is slightly out of adjustment.

  5. Got it all finished up! Officially without a check engine light since I've owned it. Started with putting a new thermostat in and ended up doing the intake manifold gaskets, fixing the CPS magnet, thorough throttle body cleaning. New air filter, and new spark plugs and wires. She's running better than ever!

  6. Cberry1962 was kind enough to send me all his father's photos. the must be about a hundred of them. Cberry1962 has already post the ones that most people would be interested in. Most of the ones that haven't already been posted are of views of pieces of the car as they were being developed. I intend to post some more of the photos when I get time to scan them into my computer so they can be posted here.

  7. 1. My rear speakers are not working well at all so I went to LKQ and pulled speakers ($13) out of a Mazda 6 and installed them. The Mazda speakers are oval but two holes at the top matched perfectly. 2. Last night i drove to Hilton Head and it seemed like there was a little bit of road noise coming from the rear area. So today I added a sheet of 8mm rubber from a fitness floor job to see if that will help quiet things down a bit. Will test a little later today. 3. Not today, but two days ago I installed a used set of 2005 Pontiac Bonneville wheels. The tires are used but still have a good amount of tread. 235/55/ZR17. They don't hit the strut tower but it is extremely close. I did not think they were scrubbing, but there seems to be some on the right side if I make a full rotation left hand turn. Other than that they have really improved the handling. I can tell only a slight difference in the ride. However, given that the tires that came on the car had a DOT date stamp of 2002, I felt it prudent to change them out and at the same time change the rims. The old tires looked brand new and could not have had more than a 1,000 miles.

  8. That's thinking outside the box. If you could pair that up with a hood mounted like this it would be a show stopper when you hit the button and the hood swings open. I found this car on the internet. It's been around for a long time. I wonder who owns it.
