  1. I don't throw any of my old athletic [white] socks away. I use them as "gloves" and clean with them. That way where my hand is, that is where I am cleaning.

  2. Been working on a number of things on my reatta. I started with a thermostat replacement but ended with deciding to take the plunge and replace the intake manifold gaskets. I had planned to do that because it has been leaking oil there, which means a coolant leak is probably not far behind. Last night I got the manifold buttoned back on and tonight before moving on to the rest of the reassembly I decided to attempt the JB weld fix for the cam sensor magnet. When I took the sensor off there was indeed no magnet and only plastic remnants. It really wasn't that difficult. I have yet to experience my reatta with functioning sequential injection so I'm kind of pumped. Thanks to Padgett for the how-to and here are pictures of my repair.

  3. A facebook Reatta club just posted this Reatta for sale in Venice florida. It has a red body AND red trim, apparently it is original? I didn't know they made that color combination just thought it was an interesting find and would share. Pretty cool find if you live in Florida only 26,000 original miles for $7900 https://sarasota.craigslist.org/cto/d/venice-buick-reatta-with-miles/7268231508.html (Link will be void once sold) So now I'm curious, what are some other rare original colors/color combos that you guys have found?

  6. Paint: The red lettering is on the '88 only. Any bright red model car/airplane paint should be sufficient. For the rest of the years the lettering is black. Engine Cleaning: I use major auto cleaning/detailing companies' products like Meguiars', Mothers, Blue Magic, Eagle One, Simple Green, etc. Take your time and have plenty of paper towels, soft rags, and cotton swabs on hand to do the job.

  7. There are several things that could cause it to stop running suddenly but before moving on to something else you should get the TPS adjusted correctly. You don't mention the voltage on the new TPS. It will have to be adjusted to .38 - .40 volts with the throttle closed. Then the voltage should steadily increase as you open the throttle. Did the code E021 go away after you installed the new TPS?
