  4. What a wonderful site here, bought a 1990 convertible in driftwood from a friends widow in August, got it just in time, mice started on underdash and console wiring but its all back and driving now and just purchased a 90 coupe thats pretty nice, but very rusty underneath, ripped lower control arm off subframe so lots of good parts and a good drivetrain. Looking on this site is like a shortcut thru the service manual.

  6. Great looking car man. I like the camera angle you had when you took the photo. It really highlights the wheels.

  8. I appreciate your weighing in on this. However, two things: 1) I already heard from Jim Finn who had the part available and I confirmed his sale to me. If all goes well, I'll have the replacement installed within the next 10 days. 2) My Buick dealer advised that he had a door handle break on his Park Avenue. Said he replaced it with an aftermarket part and the aftermarket part broke within 6 months. Caveat is that aftermarket not as good as OEM. Rest assured, though, if Mr. Finn did not have the part, and I was against a "rock" and a hard place, I'd surely go for the Rock Auto part. The alternative is getting in the passenger side, leaning over the console and reaching for the inside door handle to open the drivers door. My wife usually got stuck for the latter, and she ain't too happy about that. Thanks again.

  10. Ronnie, I love this site and really hope we can keep it going. I don't post super often, mostly because I have a young family and so time for hobbies is somewhat limited at times. But I have learned so much from this site and the forum. I can't imagine not having it. As for the cost, I am more than willing to contribute. I have in the past, (actually I am probably due again). Out of curiosity how much does it cost to keep the site up and going? Either way I will definitely throw some in the hat in the very near future. I would be very sad to see ROJ go. That is for sure. Here's a pic of my reatta from a short roadtrip to brevard NC

  13. Contact Jim Finn reattas60@gmail.com. He should have the part you need. He is honest and has reasonable prices.

  14. Other then the wheels I run on the 'Red and the 'vert I like the 16" wheels on the 2000vintage Buick Regal. They are chrome and look great.

  16. Sorry I can't help you with ideas for the preservation/resurrection of the originals. Many of us really dislike the original rims as too small, too narrow and poor backspacing so they appear tucked under. I am one of them. I respect your desire to preserve the originality, so with that in mind, set them aside for restoration and get some later full size GM wheels and tires for daily duty. There are a ton of styles out there for good prices. The 5x115mm bolt circle is on almost all of the Buick, Oldsmobile, Pontiac and some Cadillac full sized cars for more than two decades. Just a suggestion
