  3. A little history of the USS Satterlee: DD-626 is the second destroyer given that name in honor of US Coast Guard Captain Charles Satterlee. DD-626 was commissioned on 1 July 1943 at the Seattle WA shipyard. It was sponsored (christened) by Rebecca E Satterlee, niece of Captain Charles. The ship supported convoy missions throughout the North Atlantic to Casablanca and Northern Ireland. She also supported the Normandy landings, Omaha Beach. You might want to find out if you are a relative of Captain Charles or his niece Rebecca.

  4. While we are waiting for Jon to post his book I'll post a few of photos that I took of pages in a photo album a member of our forum sent to me. His father was a GM engineer who worked on the development of the Buick Reatta. I'm very grateful that he sent the album to me as well as dozens of photos that his father took while the Reatta was being developed. This is a photo of of items that forum members have sent me. I don't have many but I'm happy to have them.

  5. I would guess that the rack is broke on the bottom of the steering column. I good friend of mine had all the tools. I did have to remove the column for him and as parts are rare, I went out to the local you pick and pulled a column out of another Reatta for him to use.
