  1. Well the e041 code kept coming back as "current" then "history constantly repeating itself. So I went over to Kendall's for him to look at. He thought one of the pins in the plug was too loose and suggested I get another connector. So this afternoon I went to Gibson's for another and back to Kendall for the install. He peeled back the protective webbing and saw that the plug had been replaced already. He gave the wire a tug and said "The P.O. used shrink tubing but never soldered it". So we took a better connector, soldered it in and now I have no codes and this time I am sure it is good.

  2. My father was assistant chief engineer on the Reatta program. He has since passed away and left me with many photos of early design work spanning 1984 - 1986. Some photos are when they were in the United Kingdom working with Hawtal Whiting on design aspects. Not sure if anyone would have interest in these photos as a historical aspect to go with their Reatta. Unfortunately they are all Kodak prints and not in digital format. I took photos with my cell phone and uploaded a sample of the over 100 photos that I have in total.

  6. Hi, It's common for new owners to be confused about diagnostics. This will clear up the confusion. Why is CRT diagnostics telling me I have so many problems? You probably don't have any problems if you aren't getting any warnings on the CRT and the check engine light is off.

  7. I ran into this problem years ago when I got my first Reatta. I would get "the Show" [when all the buttons would light up, the car did the self check, and the Reatta logo would come on] but wouldn't light up at dark during normal driving. At the time I wasn't very knowledgeable about these cars, but because the car lite up during "the Show" I was pretty sure it wasn't the inverters, so for me it was replacing the photocell. If you go into the dash be sure you make the "tool" needed for removing the dash pad, or you will be back asking about where do get a new dash. The instructions are found in the "How To" section on the top of this website. Look around and you will see what the owners of Reattas and Ronnie have done for you.
