fdeason
The instrument panel does not light up so you can't see speedometer. Any ideas what might be wrong?
Ronnie
Welcome to the forum!! It's most likely that your instrument panel has failed and you will need a replacement. Do the warning lights along the bottom light up when you turn the key to run? What happens when you push the "Test" button on the panel? Also be sure the dimmer slider on the headlight switch is pushed to the right when testing.

DAVES89
I believe you have a total failure of your instrument cluster. You can remove the instrument cluster [directions on how are on this site] and spray the plug and connector with contact cleaner, but if it was working and just went out failure is most likely. Posti
I went through a number of instrument clusters on my 1989 before I found one that had everything working, but the total cost was $150 since all the bad ones were refunded by the sellers. Actual replacement is very easy and quick - I can do one in ten minutes or less. Several members of the forum sell refurbished/tested units, and you can always find them on eBay.
