Ronnie
Blacked out wheels and emblems seems to be in style right now. I saw a lot of newer Corvettes over the weekend that had black wheels. I grew up with black wheels on my vehicles because I couldn't afford mag wheels. I prefer chrome or polished wheels but I think the black wheels go well with the black car. 2seater
Overall, it looks good, and definitely changes the presentation. Personally I'm a little partial to a dark gray but that might look a little off on a black car. What did you use to paint them? I had been considering something like a plasti-dip coating to experiment with different looks on another vehicle.
ski.dive Posted September 28, 2017 Topic Author Share Posted September 28, 2017 What did you use to paint them? I First, I sprayed Paint remover on each wheel to get the old clear coat off the wheels, then I hit the wheels with a power washer to get the paint remover off, I repeated this twice. I then put 5 coats of BLACK SATIN paint on each wheel-- Its been 3 months and they still look great.
