ski.dive
How do I remove and clean the EGR valve? What is the black plastic CAP on top of EGR?
2seater
The cap is simply decorative and the catches are under the outer edge, three of them I believe. The electrical plug is in the center between the solenoids. The valve assembly itself is held in place by two bolts to the baseplate which accommodates the tube from the exhaust. Disassembly is pretty obvious after removal. The moving pintle is a loose fit in the center of the solenoid winding. Just don't mix them up as they are matched to the three different sized flow ports.

heygibb
Thanks for the help guys...I got the EGR valve cleaned up YW. I hope you get a performance boost out of it. Mine cleaned up nicely but I ended up blocking it off when it did not settle my idling down.
ski.dive Posted September 13, 2017 Topic Author Share Posted September 13, 2017 My RPM'S fluctuate from 650-775 at idle. I can live with that.
