Ronnie
I've been working on putting together a box of diagnostic tools and a few critical parts to carry in the trunk of my Reatta. I thought I would show to you what I have so far. I've always carried the blue tool box with me and my FSM but now I'm adding the gray box for longer trips. I had the empty gray box so why not use it? In addition to a few routinely needed hand tools, I have most of the tools I would need to diagnose a no start problem and to diagnose most electrical problems. I have a fuel pressure gauge and a spark tester, a voltmeter and wire (some with alligator clips for jumper wires. I also threw in an infrared gun to detect temperature - just because I had an extra. :) And of course jumper cables. It is hard to predict what parts you will need when you are broke down on the road. I have a MAF sensor, an alternator belt, a relay that fits the brake pump, fuel pump and other stuff, a new spark plug and wire, assortment of fuses, wire splices, heat shrink tubing and black tape. I still need to get a complete Delco ignition to have as a spare. I saved room for it in the bottom of the box.
