Posti
The driver's seat upholstery is showing wear and splitting seams on my 1989 Reatta. I was able to get really nice original upholstery to replace it, and was wondering if anyone has done it themselves? It looks like you just have to pull the seats, undo the hog rings underneath, and replace the leather covers.
DAVES89
Yep that's it. I don't remember but you may have to remove the seat bottom from the seat back.
Quantonium
In addition to having to remove the seat bottom, there are two long metal rods that run vertically in the seatback that you will need to remove. They hold the side creases and insert into an upper horizontal rod that has eyelets on either side. Also a word of caution, the plastic grommets for the head rest posts are fragile. I broke mine and still don't know how to remove them safely.
