What are these...

Hello..

I have always been intrigued by the Buick Reatta, ever since I drove by the Lansing Craft Centre on the way to work in Lansing Michigan every day that it was in operation (the same plant that also made the Chevrolet SSR pickup).  A good friend of mine gave me some Reatta emblems that his dad, before he passed away recently, accumulated during his work as a buyer for Buick for many years.  I am trying to figure out what they are for and what they might be worth.  I will say up front that these parts are in mint and unused condition.. but I do not have the box they came in nor do they have any part number stamped on them.  My friend mentioned that at one time his dad was involved in the early stages of the Reatta... and that they could be prototypes?

 

The 1st emblem is large, 3" in diameter, and comes with 2 pins on the back and red, double sided sticky tape.  The 2nd emblem is 2" in diameter with 2 pins on the back.  The 3rd emblem is what appears to be a belt buckle with 2" diameter emblem and a belt loop and pin on the back.  Again, all three are beautiful!  I have attached a couple of pictures of each that may help identify what I have.  Any help you can give me would be great!

They are all hood ornaments. The 3" is from the 1989-1991 and the 2" is 1988 only. The belt buckle is just that a belt buckle. I have never seen the buckle before so that might be interesting. You could try ebay as they are in like new condition.

Thanks for the quick reply. Any idea what emblems like these are worth? Should they have had some type of Part# on them?

Like I say just look at ebay. Reatta Hood Ornaments and you'll get a ballpark.
