Rustbelt Posted July 4, 2017 Share Posted July 4, 2017 Hello Gents, I have a tip for removing painted stripes - Magic Eraser. I recently purchased a 1990 White, with red side stripes that needs to be redone/removed. Tried a variety of products before giving the Magic Eraser a try. I lightly water sprayed the section I was working on and after not too long, the stripe was completely gone. The entire car can easily be done in 2 - 3 hours. Frogware Posted July 4, 2017 Share Posted July 4, 2017 You may want to use a really good paint sealer in those areas since it might be prone to rust now. I am not sure if the stripes are on top of the clear coat or below it. if it is below then you have taken off the clear coat. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
