tomsbuick Posted May 14, 2017 Share Posted May 14, 2017 I am considering stripping the wax off and putting on new wax. The finish looks ok but i thought it might improve the look and take out swirls. AZ Ron Posted May 14, 2017 Share Posted May 14, 2017 Wash with Dawn dish washing soap. It will look dull but will not harm your paint. Then use a clay bar system to rid the surface of any impurities. Go to Mother's web site (or any of the major wax products site) and follow their instructions on how to restore your paint with their system. Rent or buy a buffer to really get a nice shine. While you are at it, strip the clear off your wheels and buff them out too. Apply a good wax and it will look like a new car! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
