Brian Posted March 29, 2017 Share Posted March 29, 2017 Hello, my reatta just over heated. Now, ive had water pump problems for a while and my fan doesnt spin due to electrical problems. But after it cooled down i pressed the gas and its not driving at 100% l. I know the engine is not cracked because i drove it back to my shop it just didnt want to drive like it did. Ronnie Posted March 29, 2017 Share Posted March 29, 2017 It's almost impossible to guess what actually happened. Perhaps you got the engine so hot that the piston rings have lost their tension causing compression to be low. That would account for a loss of power. Since you say you have a shop I don't understand the logic of knowing you have a cooling problem, with both the water pump, and the cooling fan(s), and choosing to ignore it and keep on driving.
