Youngowner21 Posted February 3 Share Posted February 3 So the title explains it I’m having trouble with siphoning the fuel, I’m trying to do it because I believe there’s water in the tank. I’m using a pennzoil transfer pump. The line isn’t going all the way to the tank. Idk if there’s a method to it or I’m stupid. Any advice would help. The Internet may give you tips on how to bypass it, but there are risks due to the possibility of sparks, fire and explosion. Others may weigh in on how to drain the tank. rogold Posted February 3 Share Posted February 3 (edited) You could disconnect the fuel line at the fuel filter, put a piece of hose or tubing pushed onto the disconnected line to a container big enough to hold all the gas. Then connect 12volts to the green connector under the hood to supply power to the fuel pump until the tank empties.
