bob pitzer Posted July 24, 2023 Share Posted July 24, 2023 Want to remove outside door handle & lock cylinder for painting.Have removed door panel inside,no access to outside handle.Appears that all lock mechanism has to be removed,but is riveted to inside door skin.Am I on right track?Any advice will be appreciated,thanks. DAVES89 Posted July 24, 2023 Share Posted July 24, 2023 Window down, black rubber boot removed 2-10mm nuts have to come off. I think I used a 1/4" drive ratchet/socket and a ratcheting box wrench. Also I believe inner door panel also has to come off as you need to unplug some of the connectors located inside the door.
