Suitable fuel injectors?

Bought some refurbished injectors in attempt to remedy my miss/rough idle situation... part# 0280150901. The tips of the new injectors are notably longer (also plastic, and don't appear to be removable) and the connector contacts a little shorter. Is this appropriate for replacement... maybe, upgraded? Or, do I try again? Parts were ordered from Ebay for 120 bucks. Crosschecker stated fits your vehicle and was on the list year/make/model. Thanx.!20230426_160729.thumb.jpg.eb12d5f48283bde514ab808b2fdf3b28.jpg20230426_161124.thumb.jpg.8710e02e57a7681e7373ed2e5e37e7c8.jpg20230426_161138.thumb.jpg.ced99d90443ed400c11c81535316e83d.jpg20230426_161247.thumb.jpg.c8628505908dc94948939f212a8d3f42.jpg

Bosch 901's are correct but they certainly look unusual. I think the pins won't be a problem as the connector extends far into the plug. That oddball tube or whatever it is must have been substituted to the metal cap. I can't see well enough from the photo but they should have four or five spray holes in a small circle on the outlet. One thing for certain, that long extended tip will hang out in the air stream of the intake port. At the least, it should be trimmed off to original length. If you return them, I would look for 19# Bosch Type 3 injectors. A common source is takeouts from Mustang 5.0's. Just make sure they have the same style connection, which is called an EV1 style, and it must have the top grooves for the metal retainer clip.

Reviews are mixed, but this is correct style

Oooh... 35 bucks for a six pack. Yah, I messaged the seller with these questions too. My thoughts were also to trim them down. But, dont want to void the warranty till I at least ask. They seemed to connect at the terminals properly, and do have the 4 spray holes... just the length... but, the could have a legit reasoning... we shall see.

I went ahead and installed them as is... figuring there might be a reason or some sort of upgrade. Car runs fine. The clips up top were the hardest part to get situated (even though I installed with fuel rail off) may have actually been easier after install with new o-rings compressed, as the gap was the issue getting locked on the top rim of rail ports. I used regular o-rings for the fuel lines, as it seems nearly impossible to find adequate replacement delivered. No leaks detected.

Definitely added some noticeable and smoother acceleration increase... but, didn't fix the misfire issue. I'm gonna go ahead and test preassures and run the tests on ignition next.

Problem where I'm at here in San Diego, I dont have any "car buddies" to brainstorm with... relocated here recently. If anyone is aware of active Reatta owners or wrench monkey's in my town... hit me up with some contacts. Thanx.

Attached is response from seller i received after install.
