Exhaust Leak

I seem to have an exhaust leak on my '89 red/tan coupe. It is much more noticeable with the driver window down, almost nonexistent when up.

Are there common areas where the exhaust system develops leaks ?

In my opinion, there are no 'common' places for the exhaust to leak as it is fully welded from the factory, but, there are gasketed joints where the front crossover joins the rear manifold and where the tailpipe connects to the rear manifold. That said, after 30+ years, the muffler may be toast or something has been changed out or modified by a previous owner.
