Dave reminded me I haven’t posted lately but I am still on my extended stay at my cottage and the car is at home. One item did get resolved and Padgett will probably recognize it. Ryan wasn’t able to solder a new socket into a Memcal as was done previously but we now have this workaround that anyone can do if desired. It is an adapter from Moates that connects a stock Memcal on one side to a socket for a standard 256k chip or a plug from a computer for tuning purposes. In this case I have a ZIF socket for ease of use but that isn’t required. The whole assembly plugs into ECM where the Memcal goes.

No, they are different.   Marck Barck has some, I was working with him on getting one for mine vert.  The problem in my area is finding someone who will put it in, I have had zero luck with that.  I have gotten it approved through my insurance and everything, but am stuck now because I can't find anyone to put it in for me.

Haven't driven the '91 Reatta to any cruise-ins or car shows since Wednesday, 8/3.  We've been having a record hi heat wave (ninety-five or better) with little-to-no rain on and off going on close to two weeks.  Suppose to get real rain via a cold front tonight (8/9) with temps dropping into the seventies on Wednesday.  Hopefully, will attend a cruise-in tomorrow and Friday.

Marck Barck (East Coast Reatta) or Jim Finn would be able to answer that question.

I've read articles in the past that called the Reatta Buick's version of the Corvette. So, achemist's dad likely had some authority for his statement. Agree with Ronnie - nice story to share.
