dodge4
I have a bone-stock 1990 convertible and I'm interested in an upgrade. I recieved this offer Chrome Wheel Packages Dress your Reatta up for the Holidays with a set of these beautiful 16" chrome 1991-style wheels. These are a direct fit onto any 88-91 Reatta. Set of 4 with center caps $1250 plus S&H It appears they do not have a website and I have questions, are they wheel covers or actual wheel rims; the picture looks like a wheel cover to me? What experience have other owners had with quality or delivery from these vendors? Thanks
Ronnie
Where did you see the wheels listed? I think those chrome wheels are nice but there are a lot of other chrome wheel choices for a lot less money. Here is a photo of my chrome wheels that cost a third of what you quoted and they had good used tires on them.

DAVES89
Take a hard look at the wheels in Ronnie's picture. They are Buick LeSabre wheels and are made of aluminum alloy with great chrome on them to give you years of great service. They are cheap and are 16" and will make the wheel well look better. I like them so much they are on the Red and the 'vert. The Black has the stock Reatta wheels as the Black is my winter daily driver.
Ronnie
Here is a close up shot of the LeSabre wheel that I have on my car. As Dave said, they have really good chrome on them. Don't count on finding those Reatta center caps in a salvage yard. :P

Ronnie
The center caps in my wheels are custom and aren't available anywhere. I had an extra set of stock center caps that I removed the emblems from. I carefully ground them down to fit the centers that came with my wheels. I've got a bench grinder but I found an abrasive grinding wheel mounted in a variable speed drill running at slow speed worked best. You have to be careful not to scratch the silver on the back of the emblems. If you do it will show through on the gold color on the front side of the emblem.
