BRD
Pressing the light switch button sends power to the headlight and initiates the headlight door motor to start moving and raise or lower the headlight door. 1. What, exactly, causes the headlight door motor to stop moving? (i.e. How does the headlight door motor “know” that door is fully open or closed and to stop turning?) 2. Does the motor/headlight send a signal to headlight door control module when headlight door is fully open or closed? Thanks! BRD
2seater
I don't remember the technical aspects of it but it is essentially feedback load sensing in the module. There are no sensors in the motor itself that I am aware of and will run forever if fed continuous power. There is a timer in the module that will shut the motor off after a period of time if something breaks, or the actuator arm on the motor fails.
