Bryan Moran
Hello I purchased this car and have it. However, I am putting it up for sale ONLY to make funds available to purchase another local car AND a 1988 Reatta parts car in Colorado. I have an ad on the Des Moines Craigs List and on the AACA - Reatta forum. My asking price is $1000 which is what I paid for it. I drove it home about 100 miles and have driven it weekly since I purchased it. It's not perfect. It's an excellent restoration project because it runs and drives very well. It is a true X22 code VIN # 1076 Select 60 car with the original Select 60 badge requiring restoration (the badge and the car). I have a 1989 hood badge on the car now. You get both badges. The body is rust free, with no obvious signs of rust. A quick look underneath revealed no rusty areas and lots of dull paint. New muffler - the Camaro muffler with dual exhausts. The black paint is challenged, and it needs paint. There is one small chip in the windshield requiring fill. There is a cracked vent window on drivers side. The drivers side headlamp door has a push in dent. The headlamp action is fine. Brakes work very well. Performance is better than my other red 1988 Reatta which has 152,000 pampered miles. It has aftermarket wheels on it, but it has near new Bridgestone Blizzak non studded snow tires, which new cost $350. Typical high mileage looking Reatta with foggy taillamp covering. As far as I know, all safety items work. Lights, wipers, turn signals, horn, etc. Has smooth leather 16 way seats. These were probably replacements for the factory suede seats. Interior is 6 / 10 with needing the usual suspects. Carpet, some door panel work. There are 3 1988 Select 60's on CL now, and the other two are $5000 and $5500 or so. They are lower mileage, yes, but nobody is buying them. This is your opportunity to get a SS at next to scrap price. $1000. That is what I paid. Next stop is ebay. You can contact me at 515-520-2611 or email abc.moran@netzero.net thanks Bryan P.S. If no one wants it I will restore it but I have a small window of time to purchase a rare car and get my 88 Reatta parts car.
Bryan Moran
Yes it has a silly aftermarket spoiler on it too. That is one reason I am buying the parts car in Colorado. Get rid of that spoiler! But hey maybe you like it, but not a SS.
