I've not tried it myself. ....I agree with Ronnie just as long as you don't exceed 2 amps the wiring on the lighter is not thick enough to handle anything higher. I think a good way would be to see what the amps are on the fuse for the lighter. Here is a tip that I find very useful. If you have an old charging cord that plugs into a lighter cut the wires and make sure that positive stays positive and neg. stays neg. fasten to a 9 volt battery putting that into the lighter will allow you to remove the battery without losing any memory from the components.
