retired mechanic74
Planning to replace spark plugs using AC Delco R45LTS6 with no torque instructions. Does anyone know what would be the reasonable torque for this plugs on a 1990 with the original 3800 engine? :) ....Torque is very important, the reason is that the threads on the plug are metered so when properly torqued the open end of the ground tab is pointing at the intake valve so as to give a full flash to the incoming fuel. On 14 millimeter threads it's 7 to 15 foot pounds the torque on 18 millimeter threads is 15 to 20 pounds
