AZ Ron
I purchased a used brake pump along with it's switch and accumulator ball from a member here. Very pleased with the transaction from DAVES89. I already tested the accumulator by installing it on my 88 (worked great!). I plan to test the pressure switch by swapping it out with the good one I have now. But I really don't want to mess with swapping the pump out. How do you test it on the bench? Can you simply jump the car battery to the two tabs on the bottom of the pump? I plan to keep the pump as a spare if it turns out to work ok. Please see the For Sale section here as I am going to put my new "Spinning Wheels" accumulator ball up for sale. DAVES89
You can jump the two tabs and just let it run for a moment or two. You just want to hear it run. I did test it in the donor car and the pump runs and is as quiet as any pump/motor I have ever pulled. Save the pump/motor swap for when you need to. A working accumulator and pump means you are already ahead on the deal. Good for you. Let's hope the switch works.
