TPIGroove Posted August 21 Share Posted August 21 Howdy. 1988 year, had a sudden power steering issue a couple of weeks ago. I assumed it was the pump (given the fluid around it) and replaced that, plus checked the cooler line for good measure. Drove the car home yesterday and found that the pump was whining again, fluid level was way down. Got home and tried to top off, but I saw the fluid leaking on the driver's side. The frame right below the refrigerant tank is totally soaked and was dripping when I stopped, and from the top I can chase the fluid line only so far. The leak is ahead of the rack, I think the fluid is coming from somewhere below that plastic case that covers the engine wiring harness. Does the line coming from the rack to the cooler hose hook into anything else that can potentially leak, or would it just be a busted line?
