2seater
I am a bit confused by the wording of the comment too? Small exhaust leaks can sound like a mechanical ticking, especially if confined to a single cylinder which would be at the same frequency as a lifter. The 3800 does not use exhaust manifold gaskets as standard.

Nailhed66
On a transverse engine is the rear manifold considered the passenger exhaust ? On my car I also detected a slight ticking noise and upon further examination it seems like a slight exhaust leak where the front ( driver ? ) manifold connects to the pipe.
2seater
I dunno? I use front and rear for the manifolds and driver or passenger to designate which side. 1
