ColoradoReatta
Does anyone know if there is supposed to be chime if you open the driver door and your lights are still on? I am not getting a chime for my key being left on or the lights being left on...I am hoping it is as simple as a fuse? If so, which fuse?
BlakesReatta
Yes, there is a chime. What year is your car? The 88 is yellow number 30 on the bottom row in the passenger foot well fuse area. That will turn off the lights and effectively kill the chime. Might want to check it and see if it is burned out. Are your lights going down when you turn them off and the other lights turning off too?
ColoradoReatta Posted July 5, 2022 Topic Author Share Posted July 5, 2022 Mine is a 1990. Yes, lights go down and work fine when I turn them off and on. Just no reminder chime that they are on...I'll check that fuse...Thanks so much!
BlakesReatta
I know the 88s chime. I'll have to check my 90. I think it does but I can't remember for sure.
ColoradoReatta Posted July 5, 2022 Topic Author Share Posted July 5, 2022 Here's the diagram on the panel on the passenger side. Would it be any of these?
ColoradoReatta Posted July 5, 2022 Topic Author Share Posted July 5, 2022 Looks like this is what I have to do? https://forums.aaca.org/topic/217448-1990-chime-module-replacement/
BlakesReatta
Looks like it! The 90 also has fuses on the drivers side foot well, which the 88s don't.
